As a Registered Excise Dealer and Shipper (REDS), authorised for EMCS (Excise Movement & Control System) PJ Shipping is able to help facilitate the movement of wines, spirits and beers from Europe to the UK.
By being REDS registered we have the authority of UK Revenue & Customs to collect payments of Excise duty on their behalf from you whether you are a Company or a Private Individual importing shipments of wine, beer or spirits.
Through our experience, we will be able to help you avoid the pitfalls that can happen in the movement of wet goods, wines, spirits and beers to the UK.
We are also able to provide UK Duty Paid Stamps, for Alcoholic Beverages of 30% alcohol and above and in bottles exceeding 35cl in size. Excise Stamps need to be affixed to bottles before retail sale in the UK. These are required for Whisky/Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, Rum, Brandy and any other Alcoholic product falling into the above criteria.
Our staff will make all the calculations of the charges due on shipments and advise how these should be paid. Where necessary we will arrange for the completion of your pre-shipment Customs declarations, HM4, which will be sent to your supplier to accompany their Simplified Administrative Document SAD. If suppliers can issue full e-AD, AAD or DAA then we will provide consignment release notes to enable the goods to be forwarded against our Excise number provided funds have been paid.
If you have your own deferment account and would like to utilise this for payment of the Excise charges due we can handle these for you once a deferment authority HM8 has been completed and received from you.
We will always be prepared to offer help and advice to you if you are thinking of importing beers, wines or spirits from Europe.
